Blackwell Entertainment, Arts & Multimedia, LLC is a woman- and minority-owned businesses dedicated to providing top-notch communications and video production services to educational institutions, nonprofits, and small businesses. Our mission is to ensure you shine through strategic storytelling that highlights your organization's success and drives its growth.

Our Founder

Throughout her career, Lorraine has worked with a range of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions — helping them develop clear, impactful messaging that connects to their audiences. She understands how to shape narratives that inform, inspire, and move people to action.

Lorraine was a journalist for the Richmond Times-Dispatch and recently served in government communications roles, including Director of Communications for the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities, Senior Communications Specialist for the Virginia Department of Transportation and Public Relations Specialist for Virginia State University’s College of Agriculture, overseeing the production of Connection magazine.

She taught communications and video production at Howard University, Hampton University and George Mason University and was a documentary film teaching artist for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

​

Lorraine produced the award-winning documentary, Dunbar: The Alchemy of Achievement: An Oral History of America's Oldest Black High School, which aired on WHUT-PBS.


She was selected as a fellow in Women in Film and Video's inaugural Documentary Development Fellowship Program, and is filming the documentary, HEMP LADIES ON THE GROW

Lorraine is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Howard University.
